See this video with full audio at video.yahoo.com This is a video that shows the modifications I made to my 1977 Sea King Jon Boat. The motor is a 5 HP Air Cooled Briggs & Stratton. Total project took about 6 days of work and quite a few beers. You can read a detailed write up on the project at.... jackspirko.com The Background Music is as follows 1. Southern Cross - The Jimmy Buffett Version. 2. Born Country - By Alabama 3. It's 5 O'clock Somewhere - Allan Jackson with Jimmy Buffett

very good video man,,take a look at my boat but resolution sucks,,i will post a better one another time
you can get them at bass pro shops or west marine
how fast does that motor push the boat
i’ve seen ALOT of modified jon boats and this 1 by far is the nicest. i see youve done alot of work and it looks great. great job
nice man. i will use your creativness in my own boat. keep it up
Great vid mate. Some excellent ideas. Thanks.
Hi, great work done… congratulations… a question: This outboard motor, the Briggs & Stratton, How is it performance with this boat with all the desks installed and you driving it? I mean Can it move the boat in a good way? Thanks.
how much is that motor
Wow! Amazing job!. I am looking to build something like this. Perfect functionality, And well ballanced/ lightweight. I love the storage setup. What kind of motors are you running on it. Would just a trolling motor suffice, Or is an outboard necessary?
Looks great man!
Pretty sweet! Im thinking about carpeting my 14 foot aluminum. I like how you got the rear over the gas tank. I got a nice idea from what you have on here. Thanks for sharing!
@jjspirko nice boat man i just bought me a 16fot johnboat with a troling motor and an center concel with a trailer for 200$ and im hopin to turn it into somthing as nice as yours
Nice boat good job on the mods
Nice boat … and much much better than original Jon Boat …
Hey great video. I found it very helpful , I just finished rebuilding my 14′ starcraft thanks to your video it turned out way better than i ever thought it could! I hope to have a video posted soon
You did a nice job. My jon boat is a little smaller but I got some neat ideas on how it can be improved . Thanks for the time and effort and sharing.
JBH
nice boat. how much money do you have put into this?
very nice, i thought about doing the decks on my boat i purchased recently. Thanks for giving me some extra thoughts
how many people will it plane with? whats the max hp?
nice vid you done a real good job
@mariner10rpr – It is a 5HP and planing isn’t an issue given top speed is about 9MPH, the boat is safe for two adults, that is its design and limitation.
man that thing is awesome any pointer i am about to modify my 14ftr
As Ron White would say: Gettin pretty cocky about his large “deck”….. my deck only fist 1 person on it….
