See this video with full audio at video.yahoo.com This is a video that shows the modifications I made to my 1977 Sea King Jon Boat. The motor is a 5 HP Air Cooled Briggs & Stratton. Total project took about 6 days of work and quite a few beers. You can read a detailed write up on the project at.... jackspirko.com The Background Music is as follows 1. Southern Cross - The Jimmy Buffett Version. 2. Born Country - By Alabama 3. It's 5 O'clock Somewhere - Allan Jackson with Jimmy Buffett

Hi, great work done… congratulations… a question: This outboard motor, the Briggs & Stratton, How is it performance with this boat with all the desks installed and you driving it? I mean Can it move the boat in a good way? Thanks.

Wow! Amazing job!. I am looking to build something like this. Perfect functionality, And well ballanced/ lightweight. I love the storage setup. What kind of motors are you running on it. Would just a trolling motor suffice, Or is an outboard necessary?

@mariner10rpr – It is a 5HP and planing isn’t an issue given top speed is about 9MPH, the boat is safe for two adults, that is its design and limitation.
