HOT SPOT! We are in the panhandle of Florida and avid boaters. We are here with some of the best fishing and most beautiful beaches in the world, HOWEVER the in laws live on Tampa Bay. They have wondefully marked waterways and offer boaters a little of everything. Beaches, isolated islands, inshore and offshore fishing, GREAT cruising areas.
Take a visit and take the trip from Tampa Bay to Venice. Use the gulf one way and intercoastal the other.. once you return you will be sold.
    Happy Boating

Wonderful!!! LOTS of boating there. There are ramps and marinas all up and down the coast. If that’s what you want, you’re going to the right place!

It’s great. I had the boat at the Municipal Marina in St. Pete for over 6 years and loved it. Just be aware of what is happening when you go out in Tampa Bay because storms can come up and be on top of you before you know what hit you… every year some newbie gets theirself killed by not respecting the short, violent storms in Tampa Bay

The Tampa Bay area is a boater’s paradise for shallow water boaters. If you like sailing, check this out:
