THE NEW AZIMUT 58

THE NEW AZIMUT 58

The new Azimut 58 Flybridge developed and built in the Azimut Yachts yards in Avigliana has been presented in at the Genoa International Boat Show.

A tribute to the sea, the element from which every form draws life. This is the thought that gave rise to the creative idea behind the new Azimut 58: ample flanks from which large spaces take shape in which to live a direct relationship with the sea. Generous volumes whose forms reflect the waves of the sea.

The Azimut 58 Flybridge, designed by Stefano Righini, reflects in the sea–green color, dedicated to the first model, the beauty of the nature of islands and atolls and diffuses in the interiors of the saloon the luminosity of the external panoramas through huge expanses of glass and the new rectangular panoramic windows of the master cabin, for the first time openable. The large, square bow, a flybridge that unites the dining area with the sun deck in a rational way: distinctive features of the external volumes that ensure maximum comfort and pleasure of onboard life.

Our New Harley 39×10 Center Console Kevlar Diesel, “at 3 Miles Per Gallon at cruise speed”

Our new Harley 39×10 Center Console Kevlar Diesel. This exciting fast Center Console achieves remarkable efficiency and speeds due to several factors. At 3 miles per gallon at cruise speed, we are typically 300% the efficiency of the outboard center consoles in this size range, and about 200% (or better) the efficiency of the similar diesel boats in this size range. The vessel is much stronger and tougher than its fiberglass counterparts. In this website you will see pictures and testimonies about several Harley Kevlar boats that were in high speed accidents, 45- 50 mph, some into immoveable objects! No fiberglass vessel could survive accidents like these even close to the way the Harley vessels did due to their great strength, design and the materials we use.

Interlux introduces a new antifouling, Pacifica

Interlux introduces a new antifouling, Pacifica

Vice President for Marketing Bob Donat said “In responding to many customer requests, particularly in Southern California,
Interlux is proud to introduce Pacifica. Pacifica is a new antifouling that provides an alternative to boat owners,
boatyards and those in the boating community looking for a copper free antifouling paint to reduce copper accumulation.
Pacifica does not contain copper and uses a controlled biocide release mechanism to combat fouling.

Pacifica erodes away over time but is tough enough to hold up to regular cleanings if necessary. What’s
more, Pacifica meets the most stringent VOC regulations in California. Boatyards will love the fast dry
properties of Pacifica which allow boats to be painted and launched the same day.”

Description: Just reduced to $9995 Blowout/Firm. Great project for a museum or collector. Currently moored on the Columbia River. 1960 Royal Ocean Racing Club, Historical Classic S & S Racing Yacht. Designed by the world famous Sparkman & Stephens company. Built in England by Tucker Brown for famous international sailor Geoffrey Pattinson. This is the real deal. This sailboat has raced all over the world. Full documentation available. Veteran of many ocean races in England, Bermuda, Hawaii, New York. You name it! Repowered with a Saab diesel 18hp -Starts right up and runs great!!. White oak stem, keel, deadwood, and frames. Teak planking below waterline, Mahogany above water line. Canvas on plywood decks need to be replaced. Large sail inventory, 2 mains, 2 jennys, 1 spinnaker, 1 blooper, storm trysail and storm jib. Newer aluminum mast. Propane galley. Lots of interior room. Could be one great liveaboard. Unfortunately this boat has turned into a marina queen and needs a lot of wood work. Long term owner has health problems and cannot maitain this vessel. This is a project boat. There is a garage full of stuff that comes with this boat. Was for sale for $45,000 in 1999. Could be worth $50,000 if all restored. I found a lesser known version of this boat selling for $58,000 back east. A Do-It-Your-Selfer could really come out nice on this one. Call Portland Yacht Sales at 1-877-812-6220 for additional information or to set up a viewing appointment. We specialize in selling older sailboats. Call us if you need to sell your sailboat or any Classic Yacht. We’ll do a great job for you. Our consignment program is unbeatable! Go to portlandyachts.com for additional photos and video.

My First Boat

I am interested in getting a boat and having it near the Ft. Myers area. I would like this boat to be able to make it to Key West and be able to handle some seas. It doesn’t have to be super fast just economical. I guess I am wondering what type of boat should I get such as a trauller or a sport fisherman and how many feet is the best. Should it be gas or a diesel. Please keep in mind that this is a first boat it doesn’t have to be in absolute pristine condition. I am pretty handy and can upgrade interior, electronics, and powerplant. I am what you like to call a “weekend warrior” in fact I prefer it. I am looking to spend around 20,000 to 40,000 maybe more it depends. So an older boat is probably what I am looking for but it has to have a good hull. If anyone knows anything that would help me out I would appreciate it.

Awesome for the ocean/bay, rivers, and lakes. Fitted for salt water and fresh water. This boat is the perfect size for just about any boating activity. We bought this boat brand new in December 2006. We added a GPS, bottom paint, and fishing pole holders. We already took it for its 20hr/annual inspection/tuning. The engine has apprx 80hr on it now. We love this boat. It has barely been used and we have taken great care of it since we have had it. The only reason we are selling it is because we are moving to Texas and do not want to spend the gas $$ to drive it there with us. Beuatiful, Unique Hughes 25′ sloop
PB150009.JPG

Posted by: mart152

Description: Beautiful and sturdy, responsive and easy to sail! You will love the feel when Happy comes alive under the canvas - it is thrilling! Hap is rigged to sail by yourself, but there’s lots of room (comfortable room) for company as well! Happy was built at the (Howard) Hughes boatworks in Ontario Canada - hull number 100 - a good one. You know by then that the workers have perfected all the little things they need to turn out a wonderful product! The marine surveyor told me that Mr. Hughes built his boats so well that the shipyard only operated for one year as he felt he could not make enough money on each one to justify the cost of production. As I’m sailing along, I often get great compliments from boaters with much bigger, fancier yachts that holler, "What kind of boat is that anyway?” Ever since I bought my little farm (1999) and moved my horses in with me, I’ve sailed less and less and feel now it’s someone else’s turn to have the thrill of owning an exceptional sailboat.
