I work on a Naval Ship, and my Captain continues to call it his “Belly Button Boat” to pick up women?

Question by Sir Bartholomew: I work on a Naval Ship, and my Captain continues to call it his "Belly Button Boat" to pick up women?
We go out to bars on leave, and he tries to pick up women by telling them," I'm a captain in the Navy, would you like to take a ride on my Belly Button Boat?"
He seems to think this is a great pickup line, but it has NEVER worked.

Question by Sailsailor: What does it mean when you have to "bunker fuel"?
Some "power boat" friends of mine are planning a voyage through the Caribbean. They plan to leave at the end of the current hurricane season. Someone mentioned to me that they would have to "bunker fuel". What is that exactly?

Bunker fuel is a low grade diesel fuel. An Industrial diesel engine is required.

Scuba diving opinions?

i have posted this question in the "water sports" section..but i didnt get much answers, anyway, has anybody here taken the scuba divingh course? is it hard? IS SCUBA DIVING REALLY WORTH IT?

I couldn't possibly describe the worth while aspects of SCUBA here. It would take too long, and honestly, I can't describe the feelings properly. I used SCUBA to relax and recharge when I worked EMS. The peace and quiet, the beauty and mystery of the underwater life and terrain...it has to be seen and experienced to understand. I heartily recommend anyone who is thinking about it..to try it at least. Many places might offer an introduction to SCUBA to give an idea of what it's like..but even if they don't...I feel it was well worth it.

I'm working on a Spanish assignment right now and I can't figure out how to word this.
Please don't just put it into google translate, I'm looking for a real answer. :)

Also how would you say "Which islands did the crew stop on?"
How about "Why was the boat built?" or "Why did they build the boat"?

When a Canadian says “about” and then says “a boat”, does it sound the same?

Question by M: When a Canadian says "about" and then says "a boat", does it sound the same?
I've heard them say "about" lots of times and it sounds like they're saying "a boat", but i've never heard a Canadian say "a boat", so one piece of the puzzle is missing.
